Ahmad completed his BSc in Electronic Engineering at Bath University, UK, an MSc in Management Information Systems at Amman Arab University, Jordan, and a PhD in Information Science at University of Otago, New Zealand.  He has worked in both the public and the private sectors where he was responsible for overseeing and maintaining high profile projects. Ahmad is currently a post-doctoral fellow at the Business School, University of Otago investigating key issues learned from the Canterbury earthquakes in the context of business survival.
